IISER Kolkata is situated at Mohanpur, Nadia, West Bengal. The campus is well connected to Kolkata and nearby towns through multiple modes of transport.
- By Rail: The nearest railway station is Kalyani Ghoshpara (Shantipur Local from Sealdah) — ~3 km from campus. Auto-rickshaws and e-rickshaws run from the station gate.
- By Road: National Highway 12 passes close to the campus. Regular bus services from Kolkata (Esplanade, Kalyani) are available.
- By Air: The nearest airport is Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata — ~55 km away.
Institute Transport Services
The institute provides dedicated transport services to facilitate student travel:
- Campus Shuttle: A free internal shuttle connects the academic zone, hostels, sports complex, and medical center.
- Station Shuttle: Scheduled buses run between the campus gate and Kalyani Ghoshpara station for students and staff.
- Event Transport: Special bus services are arranged during convocations, orientation days, and major fests.
